Tarazz.com.au - Sephora Purchases

When I found out that Tarazz was going to be bringing Sephora products to Australian shores I was ABSOLUTELY ECSTATIC! While I was in Canada in 2010 I fell in LOVE with their stores AND their brushes but was devastated when I found out that Sephora do not ship to Australia. So as soon as they officially launched I jumped online and put in a big massive order!

One of the biggest gripes that most people had with Tarazz was the shipping cost. Now, I do agree that if you were buying only 1-2 items it definitely was not worth the $40 postage, but I got all of these items delivered to me for $56.99 P&H (which equates to $5.18 per item which is a pretty good deal if you ask me). If you're only after a couple of things I would recommend that you pool with a bunch of friends and just order together and split the postage.

I received constant updates about my order and even got an immediate refund when an item I ordered was no longer available. Overall I was pretty happy with the service from Tarazz and will definitely order from them again as getting these items at the US price is such a steal and definitely worth it!

For those of you who follow me on Instagram, you would've seen these behind the scenes images from my shoot with Jack Grayson, Amelia from THE EDIT Vintage Store and Natalia from early December 2012.

Well now, I can finally tell you that this shoot has now been published on Fashion Journal Online!

This is such exciting news for me as one of my favourite artists Merton Muaremi works with this magazine quite often!

Here is the full fashion story that features online with an extra added previously unseen image!

Mariah Carey OPI Liquid Sand

I feel like I have been waiting on this Mariah Carey Collection from OPI FOREVER and it has finally arrived in Australia! :)

The mini pack contains the four liquid sand polishes in the Mariah Carey Collection and is ideal for you if you want to try this out before splurging on the big bottles.

To achieve the liquid sand effect it is best not to use a base coat or a top coat and all you need is two layers of polish.

One of the big downers for me was the removal of the polish as you need to use the aluminium foil method for removal (YouTube clip here from MissChievous http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e0YNmdeNXGQ). Despite this polish having a textured finish it doesn't catch on anything (unlike caviar pearls).

So, without further ado, here are images of the liquid sand polishes.

"GET YOUR NUMBER"
Get Your Number was the most disappointing of the four polishes. To me it still looked like it had a gel finish rather than looking like sand. I am definitely not buying the full size version of this but I did like the different textures/hues of blue glitter in it.

"CAN'T LET GO"

Can't Let go is DEFINITELY my favourite shade out of the four and is definitely the most wearable. LOVE! <3

"THE IMPOSSIBLE"

This one is my second favourite and would be a very hot shade to wear in summer! It's a gorgeous pink/orange and is almost neon. Great for those girls who aren't afraid of loud colours.

 "STAY THE NIGHT"

Stay the Night turned out a lot nicer than I thought it would but I still think it's missing something. If they had just added a little more bling/glitter to it in either a different colour/shape/size I would have fallen in love with it! It's just a little too bland for me.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

Well, we've finally come to the end of 2O12 and I have so much to be thankful for. I won't lie and say that this year was easy. In fact I wanted to chuck the towel in many, many, many times, I've had problems with my health as well as other things in my personal life where I thought I wasn't going to make it.

Now that I can look back and see how far I have come I can truly say that I wouldn't change one thing. Overcoming my hurdles has made me much stronger and I know that things can only look up from here - as clichéd as that sounds!

For those of you who aren't connected to my facebook page, here are my highlights of 2O12 (and as of yesterday add "reaching 2500 likes" to the list):

I would like to thank everyone who was encouraged me and supported me through 2O12 and here's to an AMAZING 2O13. I hope all your dreams and wishes come true in the New Year!
